The Maria Shriver Women’s Conference is the largest and most dynamic women’s conference in the nation. People come from all over the world to participate. The conference featured a wide array of speakers from different walks of life, backgrounds and perspectives; from Bono and Condoleezza Rice to Jennifer Lopez, Michael J. Fox and Gloria Steinem the arena was buzzing with encouragement and inspiration. The goal is to empower and inspire women to become architects of change, something that I whole heartedly believe in.
The Maria Shriver Women’s Conference is a direct supporter of the boys and girls town (now known as boys town) and incorporates the participants into their Minerva program. Boys Town is a beacon of hope for America’s children and families through its life-changing youth care and health care programs across the United States. (www.boystown.org)
I am a mentor and a longtime supporter for this organization and have been in featured in several PSA’s for the town and its hotline. It is an excellent organization and as a youth ambassador for 'In A Perfect World' Foundation, it is one of the charities that I am proud to support. Click here to View the webcast:
As I am a mentor for “Girls and Boys Town” aka “Boys Town” I was invited to participate in the conference along with my mentee Briana. It was an amazing and incredibly inspiring experience. It is so important for women to encourage and support one another. It is such a blessing for me to draw from the experiences in my own life to help others.
When we all raise our voices together, helping one another, it creates a harmony that can change the world.
